Busduct System

  • Design Standards: IS 8623-2 / IEC 61439-6 for modular design and consistent performance.
  • Temperature Rise: 70°C over 40°C ambient. Prevents insulation aging & hotspots.
  • Rated Current & Voltage: Up to 6300A, 1000V AC with proper derating.
  • Short-Circuit Withstand: 50kA / 65kA for 1 sec. Verified by type tests.
  • IP Rating: Up to IP65, ensuring protection from dust and water ingress.
  • Insulation Materials: Fire-retardant and RoHS-compliant. IEC 60332-1/3, UL 94 V-0.
  • Dielectric Test: 2.5 to 3 kV insulation test for 1 minute.
  • Earth Continuity: Integrated earth conductor. Resistance <0.1 ohm.
  • Joint Integrity: Contact resistance and thermal stress tested. Temp. rise < 50°C

 


LT Switch Gear

  • Enclosure & Assembly: IEC 61439-1 & 2 or IS 8623-1 & 2 for design coordination.
  • Rated Voltage & Frequency: 415V, 50 Hz; up to 690V supported.
  • Busbar Specification: EC Grade Cu/Al with appropriate derating.
  • Protection Devices: MCCB/ACB with IEC 60947-2 compliance.
  • Earthing: Dedicated busbar with earth leakage detection.
  • Internal Arc Classification: IEC 61641 compliant (optional).
  • Shrouding & Interlocks: IP2X minimum with mechanical/electrical interlocks.
  • Factory Testing: Continuity, insulation resistance, relay function, Megger & HV test.

Wire & Cable

  • Cable Standards: IS 7098-1 (XLPE), IS 1554 (PVC), IS 694.
  • Flame Retardance: FRLS, FRLSH, HRFR. IEC 60332-1 & 3.
  • Smoke & Toxicity: IEC 61034 (smoke), IEC 60754 (low halogen).
  • Insulation Resistance: >100 MΩ/km @ 500V DC.
  • Current Carrying Capacity: Calculated as per IS 3961.
  • UV & Oil Resistance: Tested for outdoor and harsh environments.
  • Bending Radius & Flexibility: Fixed: 10×OD, Flexible: 6×OD.
  • CPRI/NABL Certification: Reports available with traceability.

Cable Management

  • Design Standard: IEC 61537 and NEMA VE-1 for cable trays.
  • Material Coating: GI, powder-coated, SS304/316.
  • Load Test & Deflection: Tested up to 500+ kg/m. Support spacing validated.
  • IP Rating (Raceways): Up to IP55 with gaskets.
  • Fire Barrier / Compartments: Dividers for EM interference control.
  • Bonding & Earthing: Earth jumpers across all tray joints. < 0.1 ohm.
  • Accessories: Fire stops, covers, inspection windows, label holders.

Earthing & Lightning

  • System Design: IS 3043 and IEC 62305-based design.
  • Earth Electrode Type: GI/CI pipes or copper bonded rods.
  • Conductor Specification: Strips/wires as per fault current requirements.
  • Resistance Value: Equipment: ≤1Ω, LA systems: ≤10Ω, General: ≤5Ω.
  • Lightning Protection: Conventional and ESE systems per NFC 17-102.
  • Test Chamber: With test links for inspection.
  • Exothermic / Mechanical Joints: Tamper-proof joints with low resistance.
  • Annual Testing & Maintenance: Optional AMC with resistance testing.

Standards & Compliances

  • Busbar Trunking must  designed, constructed and tested in accordance with latest International Standards and shall confirm to the regulations of local statutory authorities.
  • IEC/EN 61439-6 : Particular requirements for Bus Bar Trunking.
  • IEC/EN 60439-2 : IEC standard upgraded to IEC 61439-6.**
  • IEC-529 : Ingress protection for  enclosures.
  • DIN IEC 68 Part 2-3 :Suitable for Constant/ cyclic Warm, Humid Climates.
  • EN 60695-2-1 : Incandescent Wire test for All plastic Parts.
  • UL 94  : Self-extinguishing Property for all plastic parts.
  • EN 60332-3 : Fire- retardant.

What is Busduct

  • Busbar Trunking is advance way to Distribute Electrical Power in Building & Industries. 
  • Type Tested Assembly made of 2 or More conductors based on configuration ( 2W-PN for 1Ph, 4W-TPN for 3Ph) made from Aluminium or Copper separated from each and from out Enclosure by suitable insulating material is Called Busbar Trunking or Busway.
  • This is being used for LT / HT  Power Feeder and  Distribution over Power cable to enhance Safety, Flexibility & maintenance free site requirements.
